Located in the heart of the Du Toitskloof mountains near Paarl, Du Kloof Lodge is a renowned destination offering tranquil accommodation, a popular wedding venue, and an award-winning restaurant surrounded by natural beauty.

Forest Energy Solutions completed the installation of a full hybrid solar and backup system at the lodge, consisting of a 170kWp Solar PV system, 150kW Sigen Hybrid Inverters, and 160kWh Sigen battery storage. This solution significantly reduces the lodge’s reliance on the national grid, cuts energy costs, and ensures uninterrupted operation during loadshedding or grid outages—crucial for hospitality businesses.

The system not only supports Du Kloof Lodge’s sustainability goals but also enhances energy security for its guests and staff, enabling a seamless experience even in remote, off-grid scenarios.
