Forest Energy completed the installation of a full hybrid solar and backup system at the lodge, consisting of a 170 kWp Solar PV system, 150 kW Sigen Hybrid Inverters, and 160 kWh Sigen battery storage. This solution significantly reduces the lodge's reliance on the national grid, cuts energy costs, and ensures uninterrupted operation during loadshedding or grid outages — crucial for hospitality businesses. The system supports Du Kloof Lodge's sustainability goals while enhancing energy security for guests and staff, enabling a seamless experience even in remote, off-grid scenarios.
